New members of our team visited the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon.
The centre contains a huge amount of information with over 250 manufacturers and suppliers exhibiting. The focus is on education with a huge team guiding you through different types of build and explaining different project stages of a development.
Learning, knowledge is a leading focus for us with innovation a core value, we want to ensure our team are fully up to date with the latest innovative products and technologies available so that we can in turn ensure our customers are fully supported with effective solutions and a robust service.
As part of our induction programme it is important our team get to explore a more hands on approach and go and see different building, the feedback is always very positive:
“It was great to see all the different types of building techniques being put to use and being able to physically touch the various insulation and materials used in construction. There are so many options available to developers and it’s important to be able to visualise these when talking to a client as it helps us tailor our services to their requirements”. Laura Tapping, Account Manager.
“Being able to see the various building materials and techniques in the different stages of construction is really useful in helping to picture the specification on jobs that come in to us. There were also some really useful trade stands with products that we don’t see very often but can come in very handy when specifying for jobs and helping to get certain builds over the line with SAP calculations. The show home in the middle of the NSBRC is also a great example of what can be used on the inside of a house which is a part of the build we don’t normally get to see. The depth of detail and variation in techniques on display is great with everything from groundwork's to existing building renovation all covered”. Anthony Dale, Assessor.
