Senior Sustainability and Energy Consultant
How I support clients: Most importantly, by listening to their needs and requirements first, then providing appropriate and cost-effective sustainable solutions.
I’m keen to tackle each project as a new challenge, finding innovative solutions and offering proof-tested, best-practice advice.
The type of problems I solve: I am involved in all things sustainability! My areas of expertise include Commercial and Residential Buildings, Sustainability Strategies, Carbon Offset Solutions, Daylight and Thermal Comfort Assessments, EPCs, and generally anything related to health and wellbeing in the build environment.
Professional background and qualifications: I am a Chartered Engineer (MCIBSE CEng) with significant experience in both the UK and Greek building environments. I have also practiced architecture in the North East and in large architectural firms in Greece.
I am a Level 3, 4, and 5 Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA) and am a Chartered Architect as a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
My academic qualifications include a five-year MEng in Architectural Engineering (Hons) and an MSc in Sustainable Buildings and Environments from Newcastle University.
I’m most proud of the way I interact with clients. By providing education as well as support on the projects we lead, we all contribute to a sustainable future -- where high-quality buildings and houses promote a better quality of life and improve the occupants’ wellbeing.
The construction industry is moving towards sustainability and zero carbon at a fast pace. It is more important than ever to be able to communicate, in simple terms, the practical ways to meet those targets and to adjust to a rapidly changing build environment, while making certain that we do our part to mitigate environmental changes.
Outside of work: Travelling, cooking, sketching and gaming are the four areas I find myself spending time in outside work. I’m also really fascinated by new cultures, sceneries, architecture, art, and food!
