Energy & Sustainabililty Consultant
The type of problems I solve: Reducing carbon emissions, aiming for net zero, and creating spaces that meet thermal comfort and daylight requirements to improve the health and well-being of occupants. These are some of the problems I endeavour to solve daily.
Professional background and qualifications: I have an MEng in Aerospace Engineering from Sheffield University, and an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology, from Loughborough University.
I have over nine years of experience as a Sustainability Consultant working on a large range of projects, including residential buildings, schools, offices, university buildings, modular buildings, warehouses, and retail units.
In my career, the thing I'm most proud, I have worked on several decarbonisation schemes, taking poor-performing buildings – in terms of energy use and carbon emissions – and implementing low-carbon solutions that not only improve the efficiency of the buildings but also improve the lives of the people using them. This I am most proud of.
Outside of work, My family and I enjoy being in the great outdoors as much as possible, especially in and around water – paddleboarding, surfing or simply visiting the seaside. This usually involves camping too.
I love listening to music and playing the guitar to relax and unwind.
